1417/56 accident

SHERMAN -- An accident in Sherman this afternoon sent one woman by medical helicopter to Parkland Hospital in Dallas in serious condition.

It happened at FM 1417 and Highway 56. Two vehicles, a woman in a sedan and a man in a pick up truck, were traveling towards 1417 when the woman appeared to be making a right turn onto the highway.

Instead she made a U-turn, causing the man in the truck behind her to hit her driver's side door.

The man in the pick-up truck was not injured. Highway 56 is shut down Thursday at drive time.

Denison rollover accident

DENISON -- A rollover accident involving one vehicle happened just after 4 p.m. on northbound Highway 75 on the overpass of Highway 69.

Apparently the driver lost control of the vehicle when he hit the left side guard rail and ended up in the right hand lane and rolled, slowing down traffic.

Traffic should be running smoothly at this time.

Luckily no one was injured.

The driver said he is extremely grateful to have been wearing his seat belt.
