Atoka County Courthouse evacuated Monday morning
ATOKA OK-- The Atoka County Courthouse was evacuated for just under two hours Monday morning due to a bomb threat.

ATOKA OK-- The Atoka County Courthouse was evacuated for just under two hours Monday morning due to a bomb threat.
According to the Atoka County Sheriff's office someone called the courthouse just after ten this morning warning off an explosive device in the building. Teams searched the area after it had been evacuated..and found no evidence of any kind of explosive
Under Sheriff Tony Taylor says several departments assisted in the search and that contingency plans were already in place to deal with the situation
"We had help from several police agencies like tushka, and city police, in case we had to evacuate the jail, the threat was made against the courthouse though, not the jail" said Undersheriff Tony Taylor.
