Man charged with first degree murder in Ardmore shooting death
ARDMORE, OK -- One man has now been charged with first murder, in the shooting death of another man last week. William Bernard Brown had his initial court appearance Monday.

ARDMORE, OK -- One man has now been charged with first degree murder, in the shooting death of another man last week.
William Bernard Brown, 28, had his initial appearance in court Monday afternoon -- charged with first degree murder and first degree burglary.
Brown was arrested Thursday evening, along with a 16-year-old, for the shooting death of an Ardmore man last Monday.
Brown is accused of shooting Eric Knight - a 36-year-old father of three - to death last Monday. Police say Brown and at least one other person broke into Knight's house in the 900 block of Roff Street Northeast.
Officers say Brown and the other individuals burglarized the house and fired between 8 and 10 shots - killing Knight.
Brown is scheduled to be back in court in May.
But police say the investigation into the home invasion and murder of Knight continues.
As for the 16-year-old who was arrested last week, the D.A.’s office say he’s scheduled to be in court later this week, but his name is still not being released because of his age.
