New Chief Appointed for Sherman PD

8-13-04 – The City of Sherman has appointed a new police chief one day after the current chief announced his retirement. The city manager for Sherman, Scott Wall, announced Captain Tom Watt will replace Chief Jerry Caylor.

Chief Caylor is retiring on August 31st after 33 years on the force and ten years as chief.

Captain Watt, shown far left in photgraph, began his work with the Sherman police department 23 years ago and has served as Captain for 9 of those years.
