ANTLERS, OK -- The video is shocking, teens punching and kicking each other while a crowd looks on, many of them students in Antlers Schools.
Superintendent Mark Virden says he was shocked when he first saw the videos posted on YouTube.
"We don't promote that we don't like it at all, it is very dangerous," said Virden.
While some of the fights were filmed in backyards, others were taken on school property, and that has school principals and police working to identify the students involved.
"The police contacted us, to help them identify the students in these videos," said Virden.
Antlers Assistant Police Chief Jake Merck says thanks to the help from school administrators, they now know the names of the kids involved.
"We have the kids that are fighting identified, and today we are working to identify the people watching," said Merck.
Some of the kids seen slugging it out are as young as 13 years old.
"We cannot tolerate that, but we are at a loss to know what to do about it, because it did not happen on school time but it did happen on school property," said Virden.
Police aren't sure exactly how they will proceed either, considering that many, if not all of those involved, are minors and seem to be willing participants. Law enforcement officers and the District Attorney's office are still trying to determine under which laws to prosecute the producers of the videos and the bystanders who watched.
"I am looking at three of four different charges right now, and I am not sure which way we are going to go, but charges will be filled," said Merck.
