Pilot Survives Rough Landing in Davis

8-17-04 - The FAA is investigating a rough landing near a Davis, Oklahoma airport. A Ft. Worth pilot lost power 8500 feet in the air at around 6:10pm Monday. The pilot was able to land at a field near The Crazy Horse Airport, barely missing power lines.

The pilot was not injured, officials are investigating why his single engine Piper Comanche lost power.

There was some damage to a barb wire fence and the plane.
