Boy shoots older brother in Choctaw County
SAWYER, OK-- One boy is recovering in a Tulsa hospital after being shot by his younger brother near Sawyer, Oklahoma. But authorities say the shooter may not be facing any criminal charges.

SAWYER, OK-- One boy is recovering in a Tulsa hospital after being shot by his younger brother near Sawyer, Oklahoma. But authorities say the shooter may not be facing any criminal charges.
Choctaw deputies responded to a home north of Sawyer on Highway 147 just before 10pm on Friday, after one boy reportedly stabbed his mother and grandmother during an argument with a pocket knife.
The boy's younger brother then fired a rifle, shooting his older brother in the back.
The two women suffered only minor injuries.
The shooting victim was taken by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital.
The names of the two boys are not being released because they are minors.
The case will be turned over to the district attorney, but the younger brother is not expected to face any charges.
The older brother could face charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
