Officials fear up to 160 dead in India plane crash
NEW DELHI (AP) - Officials in southern India fear as many as 160 people have been killed in the crash of an Air India plane arriving in Mangalore from Dubai.

NEW DELHI (AP) - Officials in southern India fear as many as 160
people have been killed in the crash of an Air India plane arriving
in Mangalore from Dubai.

The plane overshot a runway while trying to land. Television
images showed smoke rising from the aircraft as rescuers struggled
to reach those inside.

Officials say only six or seven people might have survived.
