United Way kicks off in Ardmore

ARDMORE, Okla. -- “Five Percent More” is this year’s theme for the United Way. They had their annual kickoff on Thursday at the Ardmore Convention Center.

Last year the local United Way raised over $900,000. Not only do they want to raise more funds, but they want to do more in the community.

"We really want to hit that $1 million mark," said one United Way official .

United Way has over twenty agencies in Carter, Marshall, Love, Johnston, and Murray Counties.
