Woman shot, killed at Sherman Elks' Lodge
SHERMAN, TX -- A woman was shot and killed Monday evening at a busy Sherman club. It happened just after 6:00 p.m. at the Sherman Elks Lodge off of FM 1417.

SHERMAN, TX -- A woman was shot and killed Monday evening at a busy Sherman club. It happened just after 6:00 p.m. at the Sherman Elks Lodge off of FM 1417.
Sherman Police say they received a call just after 6:00 p.m. Monday, that a man entered the Elks' Lodge and shot a woman inside the building.
According to Lieutenant Bob Fair, several people witnessed the shooting.. Police do have a man in custody for the crime, but are not releasing much other information.
"Rght now, we aren't releasing the names of anyone involved," said Sherman Police Lt. Bob Fair. "It's too early, and there's a lot of investigating that needs to take place. For the reason this is taking place, that has not been determined. Detectives are inside now, talking to witnesses trying to figure out what took place, what led to the shooting."
investigators spent several hours interviewing witnesses, and remained on scene until late Monday night, gathering evidence.
