Arrest made in Sherman shooting case
SHERMAN, TX -- Authorities announced Tuesday an arrest has been made in the case of a man found shot in his vehicle on a Sherman street last month. David Glenn Boyd Jr. is accused in the case of Alan Frank Gravette, whose body was found in a vehicle near the intersection of First Street and Rosedale in Sherman.

SHERMAN, TX -- Authorities announced Tuesday an arrest has been made in the case of a man found shot in his vehicle on a Sherman street last month.

19 year old David Glenn Boyd Jr. was charged with Capital Murder Tuesday, although it's not clear exactly what happened on May 21, 2010. Boyd was already in the Grayson County Jail on unrelated charges. Boyd is accused in the case of Alan Frank Gravette, whose body was found in a vehicle near the intersection of First Street and Rosedale in Sherman.

Authorities said Gravette died as a result of a gunshot wound to the neck and blunt force head injuries. Investigators found a bullet hold in the drivers side door of the car Gravette was driving.

In a press release sent Tuesday, Sherman Police said detectives worked with Texas Ranger Brad Oliver on the case. The release said several items of evidentiary value were found, but it's not clear exactly what those items are.

Authorities are still investigating the case. Bond for Boyd has not been set.

Grayson County authorities said Tuesday Boyd has been in Jail since June 4th and was being held on unrelated charges including Aggravated Assault w/deadly weapon, Possession of a Controlled Substance (cocaine), Aggravated Assault w/deadly Weapon Firearm, and 3 Counts of Abandoning/ Endangering a Child Imminent Danger Bodily Injury.
