SHERMAN -- A sex offender is now behind bar after failing to register in Grayson County. Temika Lashay Anderson, 26, has been sentenced to 18 months in jail for not registering with the Sherman Police as a sex offender.

Sex offenders have a certain number of days to comply after being released. If they fail to register, a warrant is issued for their arrest.

Anderson also had another 18-month sentence tacked on for violating her probation.

Anderson plead guilty to both charges. She could serve up to three years in jail.
