MARIETTA, OK - For the second time in as many days a southern Oklahoma bank is robbed, and investigators believe the same man may be responsible for both crimes. The Love County Sheriff's Office confirms the Bancfirst in Marietta was robbed Thursday. On Friday First News obtained surveillance photos from the FBI.
According to the Love County Sheriff's Office, Bancfirst in Marietta was robbed around 1 p.m. Thursday, similarly to the way the IBC Bank in Ardmore was robbed Wednesday morning when the suspect handed a teller a note demanding money around 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Surveillance photos from Thursday's robbery below show the suspect as a middle-aged white man, approximately six feet tall, around 200 pounds, wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and a baseball cap and sunglasses.
The Love County Sheriff's Office also says the suspect wore a blue shirt, shorts, and white tennis shoes today, left the bank through the front door with an undetermined amount of money headed south. The sheriff's office says there are still unsure if the man was armed or if the man left on foot or in a vehicle.
"Right now we've got the Ardmore crime lab down here to try and lift some fingerprints and stuff like that. The FBI has been notified. They're in route," Undersheriff Jason Bone said Thursday afternoon.
