Pattern of Trailer Thefts on I-35

8-26-04 - A string of trailer thefts across southern Oklahoma now includes a Marietta business, which fell victim to thieves last night. Someone cut a chain lock on an 18 ft enclosed trailer at Uncle Jake's Tool Box hardware store along highway 32 in Marietta.

The trailer was loaded with 11 miniature gas powered motorcycles and one miniature dune buggy kit. The loss is estimated at over $10,000.

This is the 9th trailer theft in the last month in counties along the I-35 corridor, and the second trailer theft in Love County in the last two weeks.
