8-28-04- A man refusing to go to jail barricaded himself inside a home in Savoy for hours Friday night. A Grayson County bail bond agent was trying to serve felony warrants on the man when he said he would not come out of the home without a fight.

It began just after 5:00 p.m. Friday at a home off of Highway 56 behind Savoy High School. The man reportedly threatened authorities at the scene and said he would harm himself or anyone else who came inside.

A negotiator was able to convince the man to stick his arms out an open window, allowing authorities to hand cuff the man until they were able to get inside the home.

Investigators are not releasing the man's name, but say he has a long criminal history. He faces charges of resisting arrest relating to Friday night's incident.
