BONHAM, TX--Community Emergency Response Team training begins again Tuesday in Fannin County.

Emergency management coordinator Darrell Brewer says anyone is welcome to attend the classes. The program trains community members to become volunteer emergency responders who are called to fight small fires, perform basic first aid, search and rescue and aid with emergency communications.

If you would like to become part of the thirteenth Fannin County CERT class, the kickoff is Tuesday night at seven o’clock at the Bonham Housing Authority at 810 West 16th Street. For more information, call 903-640-8484.

Brewer says that almost two hundred Fannin County residents have gone through CERT training.
