CALERA, OK - A house fire Wednesday morning leaves a Calera home damaged. Firefighters were called to the scene around 11 a.m. to the house on Jackrabbit Alley.

Fire officials say that a bedroom in the southeastern corner of the home was on fire when they arrived on scene. It then quickly spread to the attic. Calera, Colbert, and West Bryan County fire departments all responded.

Calera Assistant Chief Brian Norton says that everyone worked well together to get the fire contained.

"The three departments work together a lot with of automatic aid agreements with each other. Plus we train together, so it went real smooth," Norton said.

The State Fire Marshal will be investigating, but Norton says that the fire was probably electrical.
