Durant hit & run suspect turns himself in
DURANT, OK - The man wanted for a hit and run of a pedestrian in Durant is now in the Bryan County Jail. Carlos Paniagua, Jr., 21, turned himself in Monday afternoon.

DURANT, OK - The man wanted for in a hit and run that seriously injured a pedestrian in Durant is now in the Bryan County Jail. Carlos Paniagua, Jr., 21, turned himself in Monday afternoon.

Paniagua is now charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and burglary, both felonies, and a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery. Police believe Paniagua intentionally hit Joshua Gibson with his truck last month in the 300 block of East Cedar in Durant.

Gibson suffered serious injuries, including internal bleeding. He was being treated at the Medical Center of Plano.
