POTTSBORO, TX - A Red Cross trailer reported stolen from a church parking lot in Cooke County was recovered Friday afternoon in Pottsboro.

Investigators found the trailer at a home in the 500 block of Magnolia Street after a tip was called in. Neighbors says they saw at least two police cars at the home around 2 o'clock. Authorities say the trailer had been repainted, had different license plates, and the vehicle identification number was removed.

No arrests have been made, but police are investigating how it ended up in Pottsboro.

Sharon Watson, director of the Texoma Chapter of the American Red Cross, credits the people of Texoma for helping authorities locate the stolen trailer.

"I have to credit the media and the public for being so alert. Just a little faction of a second or a day difference, we wouldn't have found it I believe," Watson said.

The trailer was used by the American Red Cross for disaster relief activities and was stolen sometime this past weekend. The trailer and its contents are valued about $10,000.
