Abandoned plane found in Hunt County was transporting drugs, authorities say
HUNT COUNTY, TX - Investigators in Hunt County, Texas, believe an abandoned plane in a cotton field is the same one that dropped bags of drugs on two homes Sunday.

HUNT COUNTY, TX - Investigators in Hunt County, Texas, believe an abandoned plane in a cotton field is the same one that dropped bags of drugs on two homes Sunday.
The silver single-engine plane went down near the Caddo Mills Airport. The manager of the airport says the plane originally tried to land at the airport, but took off again after nearly hitting a federal plane. It came to a stop in the cotton field after running out of gas.
At least two residents called the sheriff's department after hearing something hit their house. A black duffel bag filled with hydroponic marijuana was found at both houses. A search near the houses turned up two more bags, bringing the total street value of the drugs to about $400,000.
Investigators say the people inside the plane got away.
