Piece of Ardmore History Remembered

Video will be available shortly.

9-2-04 - The clean-up site of an historic building that fell in downtown Ardmore last Saturday - now resembles a gravesite as dozens of visitors stop by to pay their respects.

It was the second time in two years that portion of the old building on 'A' street and East Main fell, but the final damage may spell the end for a building that stood when Oklahoma was still Indian Territory.

The building’s owner is trying to save the façade, which is still standing. He’ll bring in a structural engineer after the cleanup to determine if it’s feasible.
