Man shot to death in Cooke County
COOKE COUNTY, OK - One man is behind bars in Cooke County, accused of shooting and killing another man, but authorities say the homicide investigation is not closed.

COOKE COUNTY, OK - One man is behind bars in Cooke County, accused of shooting and killing another man, but authorities say the homicide investigation is not closed.
The shooting happened around 2 a.m. at the home at 6435 on County Road 135. Witnesses told authorities an argument between two men led to the deadly shooting. Authorities say Adrian Lex Parker, 33, shot Richard Charles Sutton, 45, two times with a small caliber pistol.
Sutton was taken by medical helicopter to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, where he was pronounced dead around 5 a.m..
"I don't guess any community or county is immune to these types of things anymore. It seems like you're never too small for this type of violence to occur,” said Cooke County Sheriff Mike Compton.
Parker remains in the Cooke County Jail, where authorities say he is cooperating as they continue their investigation. Authorities do not believe anyone else was involved in the shooting.
