HEALDTON, OK -- Police in Healdton busted a working outdoor meth lab on Friday, arresting five people.
Police found the meth lab near a pond north of Youth Camp Road in Healdton. Officers were in the area Friday evening to serve an unrelated warrant when they got a tip about possible drug activity.
That's when police moved toward the nearby pasture land and spotted a group of men walking in the private field.
Officer say the five men – Christopher Kirkland, Kyle Kroth, Kent Smart, Brent Smart, and Marty Firestone – did not have permission to be on the private late and immediately scattered, trying to hide in the tall grass or behind trees. Police eventually arrested the entire group.
Officers found a glass container with methamphetamine along with a working lab near the pond. Officers say two of the men admitted to "cooking meth.”
All five men are now facing endeavoring to manufacture meth charges.
