Accident Claims Brother/Sister

9-8-04 – A labor day accident that killed a 14 year old Ector Cheerleader has also taken the life of her little brother.

Wonnie Callahan, 14, and her 6-year-old brother were involved in a two-car accident in rural Fannin County Monday. Wonnie died at the scene, while her brother, Brazos Baker, was taken to the hospital critical condition. Late Tuesday night, Brazos was taken off of life support.

He remains on a ventilator Wednesday so that his organs may be donated.

Another Ector freshman, Brittany Comeans, is in intensive care in Dallas in critical condition. The driver of the other SUV, Chad Ray of Bonham, was released from the hospital on Wednesday. Three other children have been treated and released.
