HUGO, OK-- The ATF is investigating after a code enforcement officer found what's believed to be bomb making materials in a Hugo home on Thursday.
ATF spokesman Russ Morrison tells us an ATF officer was in Hugo Friday retrieving the items from the home in the 200 block of East Bluff Street. Hugo Investigators say blasting caps and other materials were found in the condemned home.
Morrison says they are in the early stages of the investigation.
"There's definitely going to be an investigation to determine what has been recovered, what the origin of whatever has been recovered was, if it is some type of explosive product or blasting cap and ultimately how it came to be in the house," said spokesman Russ Morrison.
The ATF will be working with Hugo Police in this investigation.
