ADA, OK -- Today, hopeful business owners came out to the first retail franchising show in Ada.
The Ada Jobs Foundation hosted the event, providing information on more than 80 different retailers, available properties, and financing opportunities.
Ada Jobs Foundation Vice President, Joe Hill, says the event was aimed to inform those interested in starting a franchise in the city of Ada.
Hill says expanding the retail opportunities would help increase economic development in the city, as well as attract more shoppers from out of town.
"So the more businesses, the more diversity we have in our retail market we have here in Ada, Oklahoma, the more people will stay here and the more people will come here and invest in our community, which translates to better services that the city can provide," said Hill.
Hill says the Ada Jobs Foundation is planning on hosting another retail franchising show in the next two weeks.
