ADA, OK - A Pontotoc County man convicted of beating his one-year-old daughter to death will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

20-year-old Riley Walker was sentenced to life without parole Monday.

Prosecutors said in April, Walker entered a blind plea, which guaranteed he would not receive the death penalty.

In exchange, prosecutors asked for life behind bars without the possibility of parole.

Walker was charged with first degree murder in October after authorities found his 14-month-old daughter, Jalissa, unresponsive in their Ada home.

"In court yesterday he didn't appear to have any emotion," Pontotoc County Sheriff John Christian said. "He was very straight faced."

Prosecutors said Walker was serving a suspended sentence for attacking Jalissa's mother, Kelsey, at the time of the murder.
