Ada man injured in Carter Co. crash

CARTER COUNTY, OK - An Ada man was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital after his dump truck rolled over Monday morning in Carter County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the accident happened just after 11 a.m. on State Highway 53, a mile north of Springer. OHP says 46-year-old Arlandus Howard was driving east when he ran off the road, over corrected, then overturned the truck. Howard was ejected from the vehicle.

He was taken to Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, then transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He's listed in stable condition.

Troopers say driver inattention may be to blame.
