ADA, OK -- Four weeks after Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines, Organizations around the world, and right here in Texoma, are still doing what they can to help.
Independent Assemblies, an Ada-based non-demoninational Christian organization, has donated nearly $19,000 to the Independent Assemblies organization in the Philippines.
President, Mickey Keith, says the money raised will help provide food, clean water, and medical services to those in need.
"With the funds we've sent that'll buy a lot of rice, that'll help a lot of people," Keith said. "But I'm gonna tell you something, I wish it was 100 times greater and I'm gonna keep working personally to raise support and raise awareness."
Keith is also the Pastor at Life Community Church in Ada, and says the church has donated $6000 for relief efforts as well.
