ADA, OK--An Ada man who robbed a bank where his girlfriend worked is headed to prison. 22-year-old David Jaquonn Cole was sentenced to 8 years in prison and 5 years probation after pleading guilty to the robbery.
Cole and his girlfriend, Meagan Short, were arrested in connection with the October robbery of the Citizens Bank in Ada. A federal indictment states they stole over 150-thousand dollars from the bank.
Police said they found 78-thousand dollars in the couple's attic a short time later. Short also pleaded guilty and is still waiting to be sentenced. A Third suspect, Tristan David Williams, is set for a preliminary hearing in July.
