Anchor Abby Powell's last day at KXII, as she heads to a new station in Ohio - June 8, 2012

Rita takes a look back at her co-anchor Abby's time at Channel 12. Abby is leaving KXII to be the new morning anchor at WNWO in Toledo, Ohio.

Abbys says, "I am so incredibly grateful for everything that has happened during my time at KXII. The morning team - Rita, Tom, Kelby, Wade, Christin and Candise - have shared many laughs and kept each other going at those early hours! This station has allowed me to learn all aspects of the broadcasting business - anchoring, producing and reporting, and I am so thankful for this opportunity. Rita is as wonderful as she seems on air, and she really has been such a great mentor and friend to me. The Texoma community has been so wonderful, and my fiance and I will greatly miss the area, from our days at Lake Texoma to the friends we made. Thank you so much, Texoma!"

Abby is scheduled to start at WNWO on June 25, 2012.
