DENISON, TX - Animals arrived to the Texoma Livestock and Expo grounds Monday morning getting ready for the 55th annual livestock show.
Contestants spent the day weighing in their animals and getting them settled in to their pins.
The first shows kick off Tuesday, including goats and lambs.
It continues through Friday wrapping up with the livestock auction at noon.
Show superintendent Corgie Fisher says the best past is watching the kids get the chance to show off their hard work.
Fisher says, "We've got grandparents who can tell you about showing here and now they're coming out to watch their grandkids show, so it's been a tradition."
Fisher anticipates around 900 entries.
Contestants who win in each category get to enter their animals into the live stock auction.
