LAMAR COUNTY, TX-- Applications are now being accepted for a constable position, that covers the southeast part of Lamar county.
On Monday, Precinct 1 Constable Madeline Chance submitted her resignation and retired, a year and a half into her second four-year term.
County Judge Chuck Superville says, those interested have until April 25th to fax, email or bring an application to the County Auditors office.
County Commissioners will then take it to a majority vote at the April 28th meeting.
