Ardmore business holding food drive to help area residents in need

ARDMORE, OK -- Pit Pros is holding its second annual food drive to help those in need.

"This stays in our community so it helps the hungry here. The people that are falling through the cracks right now with government assistance," Meagan Sales, a food drive organizer, said.

The "Be a Blessing" food drive started Monday and will continue through December 14th. The business is hoping to collect 10,000 food items. The food will go to the Ardmore Children's Shelter, Ardmore Soup Kitchen and Salvation Army.

Food can be dropped off at Pit Pros on Commerce and Broadway or at any Ardmore fire station.

At least 250 food items have been donated so far.
