ARDMORE, OK -- This evening one of Ardmore's biggest employers held a special kind of competition rodeo for its employees.
Workers at DOT foods wrangled machinery instead of bulls, taking forklifts, stock pickers, reach truck, and electric pallet jacks through an obstacle course.
After being judged for speed and accuracy, one winner from each category will go on to compete in the company finals.
Warehousing Director Rob Hendry says the rodeo allows employees to show pride in their work.
Hendry said, "How better to prove that then to give them a means to celebrate their profession and operate this equipment safely in really tight, confined circumstances."
The winner in each category will win an all expenses paid trip to one of several vacation destinations.
