ARDMORE, OK -- The Ardmore school board approved bids for a new elementary school Tuesday afternoon.

Superintendent Sonny Bates explained the next step in the process saying, "They're going to authorize the bidders that their bid has been accepted, has been approved by the board, and it's time to plan to get started."

A construction management company presented bids collected for the new Lincoln Elementary School at tonight's special school board meeting.

The board voted unanimously to approve all of them.

The school is expected to cost almost $12 million dollars.

Construction is set to start May 27th and end in July 2015.
