ARDMORE, OK-- A new Ardmore housing facility, for women recovering from alcohol and drug addiction, opened its doors to the public for the first time, Thursday.
22-year-old, Dedra Lambert, moved into the "Destiny Recovery Center," a place for women recovering from alcohol and drug abuse, last month.
She says, since then, she's gained a whole new outlook on life.
"I've never had support like this before, ever. Ever. And it's like family to me," she said.
Executive Director, Shannon Hall, says the center gives women like Lambert a second chance.
