ARDMORE, OK--An Ardmore Man charged with First Degree Murder has waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

Thursday William "Billy" Day turned down his right to hear evidence against him in the killing of 40 year old Leslie Knight.

Carter County Sheriff officials said Day was arrested during a felony traffic stop last September after being investigated for Knights death.

Knights body was discovered in tall grass by a road crew working just south of Highway 70.

Day will continue to be held without bond at the carter county detention center. His arraignment is set for the 22nd of February.
