ATOKA, OK-Sheriff McCool leaves some big shoes to fill and two Democrats are in the race for the seat he's leaving.
Caney's Tony Head and Harmony's Brad Horn are running for sheriff. Head is currently the Caney Police Chief and a Sheriff's Deputy, while Horn is working for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections and the Coal County Sheriff's Office.

"I've been in law enforcement in this county for over 21 years. I basically know the in and outs of law enforcement in this community," said Head.

"Well I feel like Atoka County has needed a change for a long time. I have a college degree in Criminal Justice and Business Management. I've owned and operated my own personal business so I feel like that I've got the knowledge to take care of the county," said Horn.

The election will be on Tuesday the 26th.
