Bennington man charged with 2nd Degree Arson

BENNINGTON, OK -- Police have released the name of the man they arrested for several arsons in Bennington.

Police say 59-year-old Lonnie Williams is charged with 2nd Degree Arson and Endangering Human Life During Arson. Investigators say he set fire to three abandoned homes and one garage in Bennington.

Authorities say they found Williams hiding in some brush at Monday morning's fire on North Collins Street. Officers say he was also seen near the scene of the other fires.

Williams is in the Bryan County Jail on a $75,000 dollar bond.
