SHERMAN, TEXAS -- Dozens of big box stores are staying open later Monday and into Christmas Eve, including Sears, Old Navy, Best Buy and JCPenney.

Kohl's will take it a step further-- rocking around the clock 'til Christmas.

Small businesses here in Texoma are also hoping to make the most of their last-minute holiday sales after the recent ice storm.

"We lost all of the sales for those days which were key days," downtown Sherman's A Touch of Class owner Jeanette Mayhugh said.

Mayhugh says they're working hard to make up for lost sales during the five icy days they were forced to close.

"Yeah, we were real busy this weekend," Mayhugh said.

Just down the road at Chandeliers Boutique, owner Shannon Gladen says she took to social media to fill orders she couldn't take in-store during those snow days.

"We took pictures of some of the items we had in the store, put them on Facebook and people can get on there and they comment that they want them, you know, hold them. We offered free shipping," Gladen said.

Gladen says that saved their sales and they're still hoping to grab more customers in this final stretch before Christmas.

"I definitely would rather shop downtown than go to Town Center this time of year, for sure," Gladen said.
