OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A plan to exempt Oklahoma-made guns and ammunition from federal regulations is among several firearms bills scheduled for a hearing in a House committee.

The House Public Safety Committee is set to consider the Firearms Freedom Act on Wednesday. Former Democratic Gov. Brad Henry vetoed a similar bill three years ago.

Another proposal slated to come up during Wednesday's hearing would allow private schools in Oklahoma to develop their own policies for allowing guns on campus.
