Body recovered near Denison Dam in apparent drowning

CARTWRIGHT, OK -- Rescue crews have just recovered a body from the Red River near the Denison Dam in an apparent drowning.

The Bryan County Sheriff's Office tells us they recovered the body around 5:30 PM Monday evening.

Crew were called out to a possible drowning on the Oklahoma side of the Red River near the Denison Dam just after four Monday afternoon.

Witnesses said they saw a man wading out into the river and he didn't resurface.

They found a pair of pants near where he went in.

They tell us the body recovered is a man.
