BRYAN COUNTY, OK -- Just two days after a 12-year-old girl stopped a home invader with a bullet, the suspect appeared in court.

32-year-old Stacey Jones was released from a Plano hospital yesterday, and was arraigned in Durant this afternoon. Jones is being held on a $250,000 bond.

Investigators say Jones entered this Calera home Wednesday, where 12-year-old Kendra St. Clair was hiding inside the closet. When Jones started to open the closet door, they say St. Clair shot him in the back.

St. Clair's mother was at the arraignment today.

"I am glad that Mr. Jones is behind bars where he belongs. I like to think that he's not going to be turned loose on the street to abduct or harm anyone else right now. And I hope it's a permanent decision that he makes for himself. If he is ever released I hope that this has been an experience for him," Debra St. Clair said.

Officials say Jones is charged with a felony first degree burglary charge, and if found guilty, could face up to 20 years in prison.
