Unofficial results in from Choctaw County special elections

CHOCTAW COUNTY, OK -- Voters cast their ballots in two special elections in Choctaw County Tuesday night.

57% of voters approved allowing restaurants to serve alcohol.

These results are unofficial right now, but once verified it'll become law and commissioners say it will promote job and economic growth in Choctaw County.

54 other Oklahoma counties currently have controlled drinking laws

Also in Choctaw County a pair of bonds for Grant Public Schools have failed.

Proposition one for $350,000 dollars to build a safe room on campus.

This is the second time the bond has failed.

Proposition two also failed Tuesday evening.

That would have allocated $100,000 dollars to improve existing facilities and buy new classroom equipment.
