BONHAM, TX -- A Bonham assistant football coach resigns after he was arrested for driving while intoxicated last month. Bonham ISD's superintendent says Joshua Lehde turned in his resignation effective the last day of this school year.

Lehde resumes his teaching duties Monday for the rest of the school year, but will not coach anymore.

Superintendent Dr. Marvin Beaty says Lehde was not forced to resign, rather it was a choice he made on his own, and they will eventually look to fill his position.

According to Ector police, Lehde was arrested on February 23rd for driving while intoxicated after he failed multiple sobriety tests.
