Bonham city official resigns

BONHAM, TX-The Bonham City Manager said it's hard to say goodbye, but he's moving on.
After five years, Corby Alexander said he's stepping down. He's moving to La Porte, Texas to serve as city manager in July.
Alexander also served as the Executive Director of BedCo.
During his time in Bonham, the city built its first new city hall in 50 years and entered into an agreement with Fannin county, allowing Bonham EMS to provide emergency services for the entire county.

"I'm excited about it. I hate to leave Bonham, I've met a lot of great people here, I've met a lot of great friends. It's a bittersweet moment for us," he said.

Bonham City Council will hold a special meeting Thursday to consider Alexander's resignation.
