BONHAM, TX -- The man found guilty of killing a Bonham 2-year-old in 2008 will be retried for lesser offenses.
Corey Don Louis' murder conviction and life sentence was overturned by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals after they determined there wasn't sufficient evidence to prove he killed Chase Matthews.
They remanded the case for a new trial on lesser charges.
The child's mother, Danielle Denise Cuba, is serving 50 years in prison for her role in her son's death.
