Byng man accused of murdering wife waives court hearing

ADA, OK - A Byng man accused of murdering his wife on New Year's Day waived his right to a preliminary hearing Monday.

39-year-old Johnny Campbell is charged with first degree murder.

Pontotoc County sheriff's deputies said Campbell shot his wife Jennifer during an argument over a rifle on January 1st.

He is being held without bond in the Pontotoc County jail.

Court records show he will be re-appear in court July 26th.
