Callisburg ISD fires bus driver charged with intoxication assault in crash

COOKE COUNTY, TX -- Callisburg ISD says the bus driver accused of crashing a school bus while intoxicated last month no longer works for the district.

Superintendent Steve Clugston says they decided to let 83-year-old James Floyd go after receiving the accident report from Texas DPS. The report showed that, at the time of the accident, Floyd had a blood alcohol content of .089.

Anything over .08 is over the legal limit.

Five children suffered minor injures in the crash. Floyd is facing a charge of intoxication assault.
